Ice diving is unlike any other activity there is on Earth. There is no thrill like descending through a hole in the ice, watching the amount of ambient light diminish, and seeing amazing visibility. Ice diving will allow you to extend your diving season and dive all year round.

Even though ice diving can be amazing, it is fraught with dangers. Such as lost line, lost visibility and lost buddy. With any overhead diving, the use of a guideline is required. This also represents a serious entanglement hazard.

Safe ice diving requires a complete understanding of procedures and equipment required, these subjects will be covered in great detail during the course.

During this course you will learn to ice diving planning, organization, techniques and potential problems. We'll cover site selection, ice cutting techniques, special equipment, and safety diver procedures.

Dry suit and environmentally sealed regulators are highly recommended.

The tuition of this course is $300 and includes supplemental readings and certification fees.

During this course, we will conduct a minimum of four (4) ice dives over two (2) days.

Specialty ice diving equipment will be provided.
