Just because the water is cold, doesn't mean you have to limit how much you can dive. By learning how do dive in a dry suit, you can extend your bottom time as well as your diving season.
Diving in the Great Lakes requires divers to stay warm. However, dry suits do add a level of complexity that divers must manage. This course will develop your skills to handle and react to the challenges of a dry suit.
The skills you will learn will focus on problem prevention, buoyancy control and problem resolution. In addition to the skills, you will learn about the different materials dry suits can be made of and their pros and cons. We'll also cover the types of undergarments dry suit divers use to stay warm. Lastly, you will learn how to maintain and care for this very expensive piece of equipment.
This class consists of 2 dives during one day. If no previous dry suit experience, then we will first do a dive in confined water. |
